ERP Data Recovery — SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Tally

Every ERP system keeps its data in a database: SAP on HANA, Oracle or SQL Server; Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards on Oracle; Microsoft Dynamics, Focus and many Indian ERPs on SQL Server; Tally and 1C in their own data files. When the ERP stops after a failure, corruption or ransomware, the recovery happens in that database — and that is what we recover.

AS SQL Recovery & Repair Studio — Recover and repair damaged, corrupted and ransomware-encrypted SQL Server databases (MDF / NDF) — table by table, row by row.

When you need this

  • ERP will not start after a server, storage or RAID failure
  • Database behind the ERP corrupted, suspect or refusing to attach
  • Ransomware encrypted the ERP database files, the virtual machines or the backups
  • SAP system down: HANA, Oracle or SQL Server database underneath not opening
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central / AX database on SQL Server damaged
  • Tally, Focus or 1C company data damaged or encrypted
  • Backup of the ERP database will not restore

What we do

Identify the database underneath

We establish which database engine and version the ERP runs on, and whether the problem is the data itself or the service, storage or configuration around it.

Recover the database

SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA, Tally and 1C data are recovered at the file and page level — including from partly encrypted files after ransomware, where only some regions of the database were destroyed.

Keep the ERP's structure intact

ERP databases hold thousands of linked tables. Recovered data goes back with its tables, keys and objects, so the ERP can be reconnected, not just the rows exported.

Validate before handover

Row counts, consistency checks and the ERP's own reports are checked against what the database says should be there, and anything that could not be recovered is listed.

Work with your ERP team

We work alongside your SAP Basis team, ERP partner or DBA rather than around them, so the recovered database fits back into your landscape.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Consultation and scope

We establish what failed, what has been tried, and which data matters most. This shapes a targeted plan rather than a generic one.

  2. Step 2

    Secure imaging and diagnosis

Where possible the source media is imaged before any work, so the original is never altered. Diagnosis then determines the safest recovery method.

  3. Step 3

    Recovery

Data is extracted from the image or source using methods matched to the failure — logical, structural or hardware-level as required.

  4. Step 4

    Verification

Recovered data is checked for integrity and completeness, and a file list is shared so you can confirm what matters is there.

  5. Step 5

    Secure delivery

Verified data is returned through an agreed secure method, with guidance on validation before it goes back into production.

What affects the outcome

We have solved 656+ cases like these. Every case is assessed on its own condition, and we tell you exactly what is recoverable after a free assessment, before you pay anything.

  • Physical condition of the media and the extent of any damage
  • Whether the media has been written to, reformatted or re-initialised since the failure
  • Encryption, corruption or partial overwriting of the data
  • Availability of source data such as images, backups, logs or transaction records
  • Attempts made before assessment (rebuilds, repair tools, repeated reboots)

Frequently asked questions

Which ERP systems can you recover?

We recover the database underneath: SAP (on HANA, Oracle or SQL Server), Oracle E-Business Suite and JD Edwards (Oracle), Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central and AX (SQL Server), Focus and other SQL Server based ERPs, Tally and 1C. Tell us your ERP and version and we confirm which database it uses.

Ransomware encrypted our ERP database. Can it be recovered?

Often partly or largely. Large database files are frequently only partly encrypted. In one case we recovered a 2.5 TB SAP-on-Oracle database after Akira; in another, 96 million rows from 222 tables of an encrypted SQL Server database. What comes back depends on which parts were encrypted.

Do you need access to our SAP system?

Usually not to the application. We work from copies of the database files or backups, and coordinate with your Basis team for restore and reconnection.

What does the assessment cost?

Nothing. We assess the case and tell you what is recoverable before you pay anything; if we cannot recover your data, you do not pay for the recovery. We sign an NDA before any data is sent.
